If you've made it here, you probably love an FAQ page as much as I do. Here are the answers to some of my most commonly asked questions.

q #1. WHat is your beauty routine?

My phylosophy is less is more when it comes to beauty...and most everything else in life aside from my paper addition. I use diluted (with water) Dr. Bronner's baby for my face...which typically only use in the shower before bed.

I don't usually wash my face in the morning, especially in winter (too umpleasant).

q #2. which supplements do you take?

Most of my supplements are herbs. I have vascular issues, think varicose veins and after 3 babies, this is a big issue for me. I wrote a whole ebook on on how to treat varicose veins holistically (whether you opt for surgery or not), so I mostly take vascular related herbal supplements such as butcher's broom, horse chestnut, etc.

I do take cod liver oil (for vitamin A + D) and so do my children during the late fall and winter months. My favorite brand currently is Rosita.

My garden, but I live in New England so homegrown is seasonal. Directly at local farms (my favorite is Hutchin's Farm in Concord, MA) or farmer's markets whenever possible.

Otherwise, COSTCO, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Market Basket (sometimes they have exactly the same brands as Whole Foods but much cheaper).

q #x. which foods do you eat everyday?

I have an aversion to eating the same thing all the time but what I eat almost, if not everyday would include: avocadoes, greens (kale, chard, bock choy, spinach, etc.), nettle infusion, berries (for antioxidant and vascular support...see Q#2.) nuts and eggs.

I try to keep this minimal for two reasons, I don't like a lot of fuss with a beauty routine (or any routine really) and less product/chemicals.

Face =
Hair = Giovanni
Body =
Skin = nettle infusion
Seasonal = lymphatic herbal teas (cleavers + calendula) and liver herbal teas (dandelion root + burdock root

I was vegetarian for about 14 years and then vegan for 2. I LOVED being vegan and it is one of my favorite ways to eat much of the time. I do now eat pastured eggs and wild fish at times. My focus is plant based and locally soured.

As a nutritionist, herbalist and certified health coach, I try not to judge or push clients towards ideals as we are all on our own individual journeys, but rather I understand that we all have our own personal relationships with food (sometimes quite complex) and that this relationship evolves and fluctuates.

My main goal with food preferences is to focus on the positive and to keep improving.
